Sit Down
Wednesday 2nd of April 2014
|
The Greek word kathedra is derived from "kata" for down and "hedra" for sit. Today let's look at the chair and search for variations on a theme. Originally designed to lift one off the cold and damp ground or floor, the chair had it's origin thousands of years ago. Originally a stool or bench served well, and over time a back was added. Our first chair is simple, clean, and functional and comes from Dealer #4. Contrast piping sets off the seat cushion and makes this a nice variation on the wooden office chair.
